Full Contact Trivia shirts ($15) ^^^
Bobby has a bunch of both, but you can also purchase them through Brent or Bryan. The FCT front & back shirts are only available in S, M, L, and XL. The back of the FCT shirt says “Rule #2 – There is no crying in trivia”
We’re down to around 19 or 20 Tournament T’s…
I expect to sell another 2 or 3 this week, so get those while you can…
Now, for tonight’s update!
Bryan: Again Carrollton scores are first to roost.
A group of businessmen calling themselves Oedipus & The Mama’s Boys ran the show until #15 at which point they opted to bail on a 1 point lead and go home. Huh?
In the end Loud Stick! would be the ultimate victor with a gritty 74 point showing and the win. Glass 1/2 Full improved on their Monday score by posting a 70 tonight and claiming the 6 bonus points for 2nd place, with 5 at the table for attendence. Usual Tuesday powerhouse Team Matt underbid on question 20 and finish 3rd with 64.
BTW….Uncle Vic did it again tonight, playing for the win with Loud Stick!
Brent: Nice turnout at Bedoes, breaking double digits in teams, and even more impressively, they all played 20 questions… After last night’s 21 point embarrassment, Posse regroups and pimp slaps everyone to the tune of 105 and a win. Non-tourney team Shoal Bass takes 2nd, and newcomers One Is Enough take 3rd (the fastest team to ever break rule #2, as these old-timers were whining about the age-level of the game after just TWO questions). Challenged saves 7 point bids like they get to take them home or something, Red played poorly until hopefully shaking off the funk on #20, and Minor Alliance… well, we just won’t say what Minor Alliance did on #20… Tourney teams:
1. Posse – 105 (9) (5 attn) (gain of 84 in base score)
Minor Alliance – 49 (3 attn) (gain of 15)
Challenged – 42 (9 attn) (gain of 6)
Red – 59 (4 attn) (gain of 12)
Bobby: The usual suspects made the trip to Gainesville for Monkey Barrel’s 1st game of two this week.
Essentially the same game from Monday night with a song or two switched out on #5 & #15.
It played pretty similarly .. Playboys were the jack rabbit all night playing out front for much of the game with #9, Bar Nuts, FMAF keeping close. Haulin Balls were also within shouting distance for most of the game.
In the end, #20 undoes the ‘boys and #9 take full advantage with an 85 point win. Bar Nuts cot block 2nd place bonus points and FMAF (72) successfully duel Playboys in OT for 3rd. Playboys just can NOT get any momentum lately, although their form is still close, but maddeningly just beyond their reach…
Solid game from #9 who appear to have hired a few Hessian mercenaries in the form of Marital Blisters, which is (obviously) a pretty good fit for each team’s weak spots..
