Week 6 – Friday update

Bobby: Lively start to the game @ Brewhouse but as is typical of Friday night, once the rookie teams got a snootful of the questions, about half the room found less humiliating entertainment for the rest of their evening

Muffins show up full strength as Matt makes his 1st appearance of the tournament, and they played in front all night. Bobby Brown were a tin can on their bumper, always withing 3 – 6 points and Alliance battled an under performing United team for 3rd. #20 allowed Alliance a big jump up in the standings and Muffins bid JUST enough to allow over time, which Muffins took, with a heavy sigh of relief. Bobby Brown settle for 3rd and United limp away with a rare attendance bump only..84 – 84 – 75 – 59.

It should be noted BB v. BOE become the 1st team in this year’s tournament to crack 100 in performance points – outstanding. They just nipped Muffins who sit at 99 PP presently…Alliance are 3rd in PP with 84, just ahead of FMAF’s 81 (with two games in hand, that could rise this weekend)

A look at the top 5 shows us the two different approaches employed to make a successful assault on the cumulative; Performance and bottom line.

United rely on powerful single game scores 1st and bonus points 2nd. The other 4 are more evenly dependent on the two. Both clearly work – if you’ve got the goods to make it stand up of course…

Can you add a column to your table that shows how many players we’d be eligible to bring to the championship game? It sucks that we’re not good enough to get to 8 players, but I don’t want to drop to 4, either.

I will post the expected seat allowance after each Sunday update. Basically, there’s so much fluctuation during the week (due to numerous teams like your own not playing until Sunday) that it wouldn’t really be able to tell you anything meaningful until the week’s end. I’ll look up the line between 8/6 and 6/4 and make notes of those positions, so you can keep that in mind over the last 3 weeks, though.
