Bobby: Cruel and unusual evening for both Horsedick.mpeg (68) & Kramerica (69) as both had 1st place in the palm of their hands and let it wriggle free (two teams that NEED it for the sake of Super Saturday attendance).
Bobby Brown (92) tally ZERO points on the 1st four questions, 6 total for the 1st qtr and wind up sneaking away with 1st place – giggling like the little girls they are… Awesome.
Also – Rednecks (66) had a clear shot at this game as well
Tip (47) – are mired in a deeeep slump
Beefsteak’s Back appear from the haze of MTM’s past and take 2nd place… There is a reason this team is in the FCT Hall of Fame with a Lifetime Achievement Award (’07).
Balls to the Wall take 3rd
Props to Balls – this location’s version of Jurbie Jurb for finally placing. They’re a sports guy away from being a contender every week imvho..
EXECUTIVE DECISION – I decided that we would make these ‘Buy In’ games worth more in some way since the difficulty level is ratcheted up and folks drive in from all over to play in them.. So this Friday’s ‘Night @ the Movies’ game will be worth DOUBLE BONUS POINTS!
I considered that the Football Game is no different and have retro-actively doubled the bonus points for the 3 winners from that game as well…
If you would like to complain I invite you to submit any and all complaints to Brent and Bryan via a personal message…
Bryan: Carrollton scores finally bounce back as they have been hounded by low scores throughout the tournament. Non tournament team Buster Hymen & The Penetrators post a winning 103 and snipe the first place bonus.
Glass 1/2 Full of Pessimism finally breaks triple digits with a 2nd place 101, earning 6 bonus points and bringing 8 to the attendence table.
Carrollton’s only other MTM X team, What’s My Name, starts their week with a 69 and 5 in attendence, well off the pace of top scoring teams.
Brent: Light crowd tonight, but what crowd was there were regulars. A defensive slugfest eases up a bit on #20 (much like last year’s MTM), with only Monday regulars The Four P’s having any ease with the game. The P’s, who have no interest in the tourney and are usually too hit and miss to really bother with it, dominate the night and take a 21 point lead into #20, which they get right for 2, cockblocking everyone else from the 9 performance points…
Also, team Red stuns the world by paying the $100 and entering March Trivia Madness X. Red is arguably my best music team, but they have some holes elsewhere, and I didn’t expect them to field their own team. Their stated intention here is to simply beat Challenged and moreso, beat ME. I fully endorse such specific targeting.
Red enters with the following line:
295 – 283 (no week 1, 52+67+88+76) – 12 – 20 attn
Tourney teams tonight, not counting Red, whose 76 is mentioned above.
Muffins – 80 – 6 bonus (1 attn)
Challenged – 75 (8 attn)
